It’s time to move beyond the histamine elimination diet…

Are allergy-like symptoms preventing you from living the life you’ve always dreamed of?

Is your “safe” list down to single digits?

Are doctors telling you it’s all in your head?

I’m living proof it’s not, and that there is hope.

But it seems like just yesterday I was so sick, dizzy, fatigued and unrelentingly depressed that the bedroom became my whole life.

Bath products hurt me and so I scrubbed myself with sea salt and water alone. Make up brought me out in hives and migraines so I rocked the androgynous look. Crying over clumps of hair clogging the shower drain was a daily occurrence.

But worse than all that:

I was starving.

Literally.

I was terrified of food and felt life wasn’t worth living shackled in the low histamine elimination diet prison.

Suddenly I realised I was doing it all wrong. I did a 180 and now I eat what I want, go where I want and do whatever I want, and feel even better than I did in my teens.

And now I’d like to help you get here.

In this 90 minute webinar we’re going to cover a good chunk of the information that helped turn my life around, the key strategies I share in my private consultations at $150 an hour, for $45.

So for $45 you’re getting:

  • 90 minutes of the best advice I wish someone had given me
  • 50 page ebook Short But Sweet: A Nutrient Dense Approach to Histamine Intolerance and Mast Cell Activation
  • A symptoms PDF spreadsheet to help you work out what’s causing what
  • My personal antihistamine and anti-inflammatory shopping list to inspire your next pantry stocking
  • A weekly meal planner PDF to take the headache out of eating

Hi Kathrin, I replied to your email but I’m having problems sending them out with the internet connection. I’ve had to fly to the middle east for the second time this month for a continuing family emergency. The plan was to announce the time today once I had the chance to see where the majority of people are located. Right now it looks like most are in California. The idea of the recording is so that everyone can see it no matter which time zone they’re in. It will be up the moment the workshop ends.

Hi Yasmina, I am really begging to know how long these histamine flares last? I have been off work for 3 days. It would settle down and i attempted to take a couple of probiotics and WHAM! back it came. The first one was scary, the “hard to breathe” when laying down was vicious. I have been scouring the web for the last three days. I just got the online workshop for more info. and got your book the DAO diet – the first year. I need to go to work, but so hard when you are on fire. I used to have hives in my twenties. This time in my 50s, they are all inside. BUT it feels like the worst sunburn you ever had. I am also having the back kidney area (pituatary / pancreas area) pain as well as the lower right quadrant back pain. For me, I get high blood pressure and high heart rate. Also the nerve issues with numbing feet and occasionally hands and the vision issues, but I already have new internal lenses there from early cataract surgery in my early 50s. I have lost 8 (much needed) pounds in the last 4 days—this started with I thought my bucket overloaded, but you are saying this is false information now? I have been trying to heal from Leaky Gut, so I was consuming lots of Kombucha and attempting to eat Goat cheese as an alternative to dairy, and had some old bone broth. Then dinner that night had raisins, cranberries, walnuts and sunflower seeds in them. That is why I thought my bucket was too full? Bottom line can you please tell me how long this flare will last? I want to get on the road to recovery. BTW thank you for setting up this site and BLESS you for it. I do not see doctors anymore unless it is for body parts. Internal things — America seems really behind on. HIT is fairly commonly known by the doctors in England or so I am told.

Hi Laura. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having a bad flare up at the moment. Histamine intolerance is such a complex issue that varies a lot from person to person and I have found that what works for others doesn’t necessarily work for me. I have for example tried some of the supplements that are supposed to support histamine digestion and fallen really ill, and when it come to food I am far from being able to eat a histamine balanced diet. It’s been a long and slow process for me and I still have some way to go. I have found that working with a licenced holistic health care professional that really understands histamine and mast cell disorders have helped. I can highly recommend Alison Vickery who is herself suffering from histamine intolerance and has a great wealth of knowledge in the field. She is based in Australia but that hasn’t hindered me who is based in the UK from having regular consultations with her via Skype. She has helped me understand my body and my needs, and that way I will be able to tailor my own personal recovery path at my own pace. You need to find out what works for you and what is holding you back from being the best you can be.

Hi Laura, indeed, sorry to hear it. Probiotics aren’t the best idea when in, or post, flare. The right quadrant pain is a known mast cell issue, doctors still aren’t 100% sure why. I suffered unimaginable pain there for years. High BP and heart rate are also not uncommon but it’s better to check with an MD rather than assuming it’s histamine related. The nerve issues, numbing feet and vision are all something I experienced, but again, best to rule other things out. I’m not quite sure what you mean by false information? I have said that I believe in the inflammation bucket rather than the histamine bucket if that’s what you mean. But in this case what I’m saying is that anything that causes inflammation can make us overflow, rather than just histamine containing foods. There’s no sure way to know how long it will last. In the past I would do my best to stay calm, meditate, practice stress relief (but go to the doctor just to be sure first), juice any greens, eat nice green soups and other anti-inflammatory foods, then it would hopefully pass quickly. Those foods would certainly make most spill over. I wouldn’t call that histamine-balanced, that was a bit of a histamine overload especially if you have not been physically stable for some time before trying these foods. Kombucha is not something I include in my diet. My gut healed thanks to an overall balanced diet that’s not too restrictive and by creating my own safe food list which is what I explain how to do in this workshop. Hope you’re already better.

    Hi Laura,
Kombucha makes me very ill, though I loved the flavor when I tried drinking it over a year ago. It is kind of like drinking vinegar though and it (kombuchu) is a fermented food super high in histamine. Also, contrary to popular trends/beliefs ~ in South Korea where they eat lots of Kimchi (another fermented food) they have the highest rate of stomach cancer in the world and it is being link directly to eating lots of fermented foods. Which is startling as the “Nourishing Traditions” people tell you it’s excellent for your digestion. I don’t believe in that book anymore and also do poorly on a high fat diet. I did try raw milk a few years ago and at first liked it but started noticing my eyelids swelling up and also I found out it is mega high in histamine. Even if it is raw it is coming from a pregnant animal so also has a lot of natural cow hormones which I don’t think an adult human (just my opinion obviously) requires or is good for. Bone broth also made me VIOLENTLY ill. I get everything I need from vegetables and fruits and I eat a lot of sweet potatoes. I do still eat a small amount of butter from England or Europe (tho I live in the USA) with sweet potatoes and that seems okay and give them a bit more flavor. Coffe and tea also make me get sick now, though I used to drink them frequently. I feel my gut IS healing as I can include more foods (I’m mainly talking a wider array of fruit & veg that were making me sick bfr) like apples. You might also look at the Failsafe diet (It’s an Australian site/diet) which really helped me to get much needed information sadly lacking in the USA. Other things to avoid are annatto and other additives ( a list is on the Failsafe site). Using Kombuchu and goat cheese etc, in my unprofessional opinion, would cause you much much MORE inflammation and not help; to heal a leaky gut. My other unsolicited advice is to be uber gentle with yourself, keep track of EVERYTHING you consume and record how you feel that day and the next days. You may see a pattern. Sorry for the wall of words but I feel for you and wish you the very best.

Sorry, I also meant to add that this site, the first of it’s kind, was my first twinkle of light in a dark and confusing time for me. I can’t even really express how Yasmina through this site and her books have helped, I will even say saved me and comforted me while being basically told I was crazy by the USA “doctors” I saw. The Failsafe info just really solidified things for me (they were started more for children having severe reactions to food additives but they also include lots of amazing info on “amines” and salicylates, etc. They have info sheets and they are also for adults or anyone suffering. I also find bathing in a combo or variations of epsom salts, dead sea salts (at Whole foods or mountainroseherbs.com) and a little baking soda in the bath sometimes makes me feel better.) Take care
